Recycle shop and bus

I am a little late in creating this post. I had originally started to work on it last night but then all hell broke loose with the kids. Last night was actually one of the worst nights I have had so far with all three kids alone. I think Ben was exhausted from a full week of school and it transferred to the babies. Somehow we made it through though and Ben was such a trooper he got it together today and headed back to school.
Yesterday I checked out one of the local recycle shops. These shops are similar to the Salvation Army but you can find some really nice Japanese pottery there and other very gently used items. The Japanese seem to take great pride in their things and at the shop they actually re-package everything as if it is new. I picked up several things at the shop quite a bit cheaper than the exact same item I had seen out in town. I think I have found my new hobby! With Ben in school I don't have to worry about any fingers touching and breaking things! Japanese pottery is huge here and many people collect tons and tons of it. I don't plan on collecting a lot but I do have a few favorite things I will be looking for. About 30 minutes from us is a town named Arita. Arita is very famous for its' pottery and there are several kilns there. I hope to one day really explore Arita and check out the rich history there.

My favorite pattern!

Mickey Mouse

Fall is here! I went for a jog a few days ago and noticed this tree changing beautiful colors! It has been three years since I have really seen trees change!! The weather is now crisp too! What a contrast from Hawaii! Too bad the colder weather is bringing on colds for us and that it is dark so early!
Ben absolutely loves the school bus! He constantly talks about the school bus driver and how he wants to be a bus driver when he grows up. Every day he scampers onto the bus and tries to get as close to the driver as possible. He even told me tonight that when he gets bigger he wants to drive the bus and the current bus driver can ride with him! Kids are so funny!

There is Ben - right next to the bus driver!

This is one of Ben's teachers!

Yes, we actually had to put pants on this week!
