Elizabeth was so kind once again and watched all three kids for me while I ventured out beyond the gates of the base! It was raining pretty hard and cold so I was able to quickly do a little shopping and head home. In Sasebo we live over 20 minutes from the main base as well as the main shopping area. In Yokosuka, the base is right next to all of the shopping, train station, etc.

Gap!!!! I only bought a few things in there. The sizing was still a bit off from traditional American sizing. That is only fair considering it is for the Japanese. The prices were also extremely high! I bought a turtleneck that was retailed at 7800 yen (around $88.00!!) Luckily it was on sale for 1900 yen ($21.00.) Notice the homeless man trying to stay out of the picture!
