There are not a lot of places around her to see Santa and get your picture taken with him. We have seen a few Japanese Santa's but nothing formally set up like we are used to in the States. At Huis Ten Bosch they have a Santa House set up so we decided to try our luck there. Santa was awesome! He spoke English!
Ben decided Nate would make a good cowboy!
So Grant and I went to absolutely no Christmas parties this year. Since he was gone the first two weeks of December (one of which we were with him in Yokosuka) and we have three young children it was just easier. We were busy enough as it was. On Thursday night we invited Jane and her family over to exchange Christmas presents though and I decided to get some yummy dessert from Sweets Ikuta. Jane had been before and raved about it. Mmmm good!
The Santa desserts for the kids.
This was the Sasebo package of desserts. The wrapping was covered in famous places throughout Sasebo.
I have been so blessed to have such happy babies. Ben had such bad colic and reflux he wasn't happy for most of his first six months of life. Looking at Ben now you would never have guessed how miserable he was but I realize how lucky I am that the twins both are so content!
Nate and Piper constantly grab at each other. When I lay them close to each other one usually ends up crying because the other is grabbing an ear or hair or hand, etc. Shortly after this picture was taken Nate started crying because Piper had his ear. The terrorizing of each other has already begun!!
