Yesterday (Tuesday) was Japanese culture day so Ben did not have school. It was a pretty chilly day and I was craving a hot drink. Well they have a Starbucks in the outdoor shopping arcade downtown plus a park so Jane and I made the trek down there. I had to bundle the babies up which made for quite a few Kawaii's! I love the ginza because there are tons of interesting things to look at down there.
The babies all bundled up. Good thing because in the shade it was chilly!
Bundled up at the park - brrr!
Ben, Grace and Anna playing. This park is right in the middle of the ginza. I always enjoy going there because it is full of Japanese kids and their parents.
A mini garage sale going on right in the middle of the ginza.
Another park we discovered on our way to the car. It is definitely fall here!
So I couldn't resist taking these next two pictures. A couple of years ago we went to Monterey, CA to visit a good friend of ours. "Uncle Ben" bought Ben this Otter while we were at the Monterey Aquarium. Ottie is his lovie. This was Tuesday night.
This was Wednesday night.
This is how I manage to make a meal in our house. The babies bewitching hour is right at supper time. I have to think of creative ways to keep them happy!
My attempt at learning a little Japanese.
At Ben's preschool they have to wear a lunch apron, use a fork, spoon and chopstick set and wipe their hands with a wet cloth which they bring with them everyday. While I was unpacking Ben's bag today he pulled out his lunch supplies and decided he wanted to use them with dinner. He has on his blue apron, he's holding his chopsticks and his cloth is in the little blue container. I was very impressed with his chopstick skills. They were his preferred utensil!
Eating with chopsticks.
He doesn't have the grip down exactly right but he manages to pick food up a lot better than I can. I'm chopstick challenged!
